MOTM This Week? Hell, Yeah!
Just when you were afraid it was safe to go back to the bars, a rumor of MOTM surfaces again. The venerable, time honored institution that is MOTM will fire up again this Thursday, April 9 at about 5:30 in the p.m. This festive event will occur at The Cedar Door, 2nd and Brazos, the self proclaimed inventor of the Mexican Martini (which happen to be on special this Thursday as an additional incentive).
The weather will be fine, the drinks will be fine, the company will be suspect. All the things necessary for an epic evening. Be there or regret it the remainder of your adult life.

Spring Break - When Do You Get Too Old To Go?
Now that we are all gainfully employed and can't run down to Padre for a few days of drunken debauchery, you should know what you are missing.
Apparently, maybe not much.

No Formal MOTM This Week. Let's Try Again Next Week.
No organized MOTM this week. However, this doesn't prevent one or more of you doing it on your own. Permission is granted to use the logo. No other license, express or implied, is granted.
We'll try again in the next week or so.
Peace. Out.

No MOTM Tonight. Go Wrestle A Bear Or Something!
No MOTM tonight. We'll try again next week. Instead of drinking publicly, get you a cold one and watch the Animal Planet edition of this blog. When you see the following video, you might wonder why the cougar would screw with a bear. The answer appears about 16 seconds into the video.
You also know that cougar jokes in connection with a happy hour blog are too easy, don't you? Don't you?
Peace. Out.

Yes, Sir! Mighty Fine Job Last Night.
Good crowd last night at the Shiner Saloon. The high light of the night (at least while I was there) related to the following:

If you don't know what this means, you should have been there.

MOTM - Our Own Little Private Stimulus Package -Shiner's Saloon
In keeping with prior practice, to the extent that such can be ascertained, it seems that this Thursday, February 12 is the right time to convene another MOTM.So, let's do so. 5:30 at Shiner's Saloon, 422 Congress Ave., Suite D (Second Floor).
Topics for discussion: Do you believe that the proper areas of the economy are being stimulated by the new stimulus package? In other words, does the economy have a g-spot and can it be reached by Obama's package?
Also, can we party with Michael Phelps?
Since this weekend is Valentine's Day (also know as Doghouse Eve), here is a Valentine idea for you guys:

Also a comment on what most people think about Valentine's Day:

And always keeping the public interest at heart, here is a public service announcement for your consideration:

Pretty Good Effort For An Early Season Game.
Not too shabby for a January gathering. 219West was substantially augmented in its coolness factor by the presence of the MOTMers last night. Amanda showed up first (see, Amanda, I do notice) and stayed for a whopping 5 minutes after I got there. Some story about another engagement, etc. She's working downtown now and promises a more steady attendance. Then we had Stuart and our friend Will from NY, the ever lovely Tiana and her friend Sydney (who attended on accident but were very welcome), Steph (who earns a perfect attendance certificate) and the always much appreciated Lesley.
We'll discuss the next event soon. Comments would be appreciated on when, where and how.
Peace. Out.

TONIGHT! MOTM! REMEMBER! 219WEST! YAHOO!
Just in case you have forgotten since yesterday, MOTM occurs tonight starting around 5:30 at 219West. You wouldn't want it to occur without you, would you? So, be there.
In honor of the Super Bowl, here are non-related gratuitous "sports" pictures:

Time To Get This Year Started - MOTM - January 29, 2009 - 219West
We haven't done one of these things in a while. Do you think you are still MOTM worthy? Do you have what it takes? Can you hang with the big dogs? Can you do an Augie Garrido without the bad publicity? Remember, children, we never condone driving after drinking, particularly with your lights off. Piques the interest of the fuzz, etc.
Even though the weather is supposed to be better, let's try 219West, the epononymously named bar at 219 West 4th Street. It's nice and warm in there. Let's do 5:30 or so.
Topics of conversation: How glad you are that the economic downturn is over and things are rosy again.
Mode of dress: Aretha Franklin style hats
See you there.
Peace. Out.

MOTM - Next Thursday - January 29, 2009
I know you all made New Year resolutions to be more socially active. You felt that in 2008 you were just a bunch of dubs. Well, you were. However, here is a chance to turn over a new leaf and start a new year out on the right foot.
Let's try this grand experiment we love to call MOTM next Thursday, January 29. Let's convene at 219West at about 5:30 pm.
Topics for conversation will include where you were during the inauguration or as it was called in most of Texas: "the illegal usurpation of conservative power".
OK, let's hop to it, folks. I'm not getting any younger.
Peace. Out.
